Xiaomi announces first batch of MIUI 12 Android 11 Update

Today Google has officially released Android 11 after months of beta testing the next biggest Android update. And now Xiaomi has announced the first batch to receive the MIUI 12 Android 11 update.

Google said that Android 11 update will begin rolling out today on select Pixel, OnePlus, Xiaomi, OPPO and realme phones, with more partners launching and upgrading devices over the coming months.

Xiaomi participated in the Google beta program. However, the Android 11 beta update released by Xiaomi was stock Android. We can say that the new Android 11 update will be an MIUI 12 based on stock Android.

According to the tweet by Xiaomi the devices to receive the MIUI Android 11 update will be Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro.

According to the tweet by MIUI, it says that the next update is available now but Xiaomi hasn’t released MIUI 12 Android 11 beta build for now. Xiaomi is also recruiting MIUI users for the MIUI 12 Android 11 beat program. Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Poco F2 Pro users can apply for the Android 11 beta program till September 9.

The Android 11 update comes up with many interesting features such as conversations across messaging apps will be moved to a dedicated space in the notifications section making easy to manage your conversation, built-in screen recorder, controlling smart devices with just a tap from the phone, one-time permission for apps and much more. It will be more interesting to how Android 11 update will look like in MIUI 12 and what more features will be introduced in stock-based Android 11 MIUI 12.
